After the two-hour event Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez was crowned as Miss Universe 2009. Topping all other gorgeous candidates from more than 80 countries on swimsuit, evening gown and personality interview categories.

First Runner Up was taken by Miss Domincan Republic, Ada Aimee De La Cruz. Second Runner-Up by Miss Kosovo, Gona Dragusha.

Winners for Best National Costume are already announced in Miss Universe 2009 Live Preliminary Competition. Miss Universe 2009 Panama, Diana Broce won followed by Miss Universe 2009 Nicaragua, Indiana Sanchez and Miss Universe 2009 Thailand, Chutima Durongdei respectively.

Seven countries withdraw their participation from the competition. These countries are Denmark, Antigua and Barbuda, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, Northern Marianas and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The major reason for not participating is the lack of sponsorship and funding from their respective countries.

The good news is countries like Romania, Iceland, Ethiopia, Namibia, Sweden, Guyana, Zambia and Bulgaria are participating again after their last participation in the year 2007.

Dayana Mendoza, the reigning Miss Universe 2008 from Venezuela will crown her successor and will subsequent appears in the controversial Maxim shot which will be due in the newsstands by August 18, 2009.

Roy Jones Jr. knockout Jeff Lacy in 10th round

As what I have previously mentioned in my recent post, my cable just gone blackout so watching Roy Jones Jr. vs. Jeff Lacy Live Streaming is almost impossible. I never have thought that I will be able to get the result of Hook City fight in an our old radio.

Roy Jones Jr. emerged victorious after he knockout Jeff Lacy in the 10th round. Roy Jones left hook dominated by giving Lacy a cut in his eyes in the third round. The swelling begins by the seventh rounds. Lacy wasn't able to go to the center of the ring after the bell in the 11th round so the referee stopped the game.

Apparently Jones proved in this fight that he is the faster fighter after giving a faster combination of punches which obviously the crowd loves. Roy Jones Jr. victory means he retain the NABO light heavyweight championship title.

On the other note, Donaire won by unanimous decision over concepcion in Pinoy Power 2 fight.

Donaire won the Pinoy Power 2 by unanimous decision

I wasn't able to watch the Donaire Vs Concepcion live fight since our cable channel just suddenly gone black out so I have no choice but to resort to live radio announcement and so far it has served its only purpose and that is to announced who is the winner.

Nonito "The Filipino Flash" has won over Rafael Concepcion by unanimous decision in the recent concluded Pinoy Power 2 fight. While his won was actually expected, Nonito failed to knock-out Rafael "El Torino but emerged the victor as all the judges scored infavor of him.

Donaire won by score point of 117-111, 115-113, and 116-112 and won WBA interim junior bantamweight title.
