Howard Vs Kobe in the 2009 NBA Finals

Lebron Vs Kobe in the finals! Maybe not this year.

Its been a heartbreak for most NBA fans who wanted to see a Lebron-Kobe showdown for the NBA finals. The Lakers made it, but LeBron and the Cavs lost to the Magic.

The Cavs may have the best player Lebron James, but the Magic have the better team. LeBron cannot do it alone.

Dwight Howard and his 3-point shooters Lewis and Turkoglu dominated the Cavs throughout the conference finals, and won the series 4-2.

"I don't think people thought we could be at this level," Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said.

The Magic will be making their first finals appearance since 1995 and its Howard first NBA finals.

"For us as a team, we understand how everybody has talked about us for the last couple of years," Howard said. "We can beat anybody."

North Korea Nuclear Test: Fires More Missiles

North Korea became the first nation to give an official warning to test a nuclear device for detonation on October 9, 2006. During the explosion, some radioactive explosives were reportedly miscarried and there still fragments of questions as to the test was a success or a failed experiment.

Rewinding the time a little, it was in 2005 when North Korea started to open a discussion about its nuclear program and without surprise, Condoleeza Rice, the US Secretary State, immediately acknowledged them as an outpost of tyranny. Months later the declaration, US reportedly suspended its effort to recover the remnants of its servicemen in North Korea. Still, December of same year, North Korea projected to resume its nuclear reactors even without the formal agreement with US.

It was in April 2006 when a two-day meeting was held persuading North Korea to talk again about their failed nuclear program. The results of talk remained unclear but on July fifth of same year, North Korea still launched its the seventh missile despite the denunciation.

2006 - 2008

October 6, 2006- The United Nations Security Council released a statement regarding the request of North Korea to test a deadly toxic device. The declaration said:

“The Security Council urges the DPRK not to undertake such a test and to refrain from any action that might aggravate tension, to work on the resolution of non-proliferation concerns and to facilitate a peaceful and comprehensive solution through political and diplomatic efforts.”

Due to first-ever nuclear weapon test on October 9, US Intelligence found themselves in vigilant position. Tony Show, the US White spokesman, said,

"We expect the UN Security Council to take immediate actions to respond to this unprovoked act."

Agreed by Prime Minister Shinzo of Japan, he claimed the fatal test was unpardonable and pointless. Chinese people argued the act as "defied the universal opposition of international society".

In June 2008, Pyongyang decided to distribute sixty pages of documents detailing their nuclear power means and capabilities and reportedly, they destroyed its Yongbyon’s main atomic reactor the next day. Upon knowing, US removed North Korea from their list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

The Present

The paranoia didn’t stop there. Currently, North Korea knocked down UN resolution to deprecate missile launch to resume nuclear weapons program. To them, “they will never again take part in such [six party] talks and will not be bound by any agreement reached at the talks." North Korea reactivated its nuclear facilities and was scheduled to test its second nuclear device on May 25.

Mike Tyson's daughter dies after hanging accident

The 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson died at a hospital Tuesday, a day after her neck apparently got caught in a treadmill cord at her Phoenix home, police said.

Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead just before noon, police Sgt. Andy Hill said. She had been on life support and police have said their investigation showed her injury on Monday was a "tragic accident."

"There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus," the family said in a statement. "We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."

Police said Exodus either slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging under the console. Her 7-year-old brother found her and told their mother. She took Exodus off the cord, called 911 and tried to revive her.

Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR as they took the girl to the hospital.

Former heavyweight champion Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and flew Monday to Phoenix, where he was seen entering the hospital.

The family's home is in a modest, quiet neighborhood. Neighbors say they saw Tyson there from time to time and the children played outside regularly.

Dinka Radic, who lives across the street, says the little girl would ask her if she had any chocolate in the house. When Radic would get some and give it to her, Exodus would hug the woman's knees and "kiss, kiss, kiss."

Adam vs. Kris in ‘American Idol' Final 2

Danny Gokey, who has never been in the “American Idol” bottom two before, is sent home, leaving Adam Lambert and Kris Allen to compete in the finale.

“I was very confident in the fact that it was it for me,” Gokey said to the reporters. “Actually the whole day I kind of thought it was it for me. Did I want it to be it for me? No. You know, I can be very transparent, and I wanted to go for the gold just like they did, and it didn’t work out that way.”

On the other hand, Kris Allen's surprisingly impressive performance of Kanye West's "Heartless" is one of the factors that pushed him to the top 2.

Allen has a huge fans and whether he wins the American Idol or not, he should definitely get a record deal when the competition's over. He has the talent, the looks, and most importantly, he can sell music. Most of the songs he sang caused the original song to rocket up iTunes' most-downloaded songs list.

Another Idol Finalist is Adam Lambert! With so much talent in store, he is the favorite of most American Idol followers to win.

Lambert dominates the contest even from the start, he always comes up with the most innovative and versatile vocal moves—and gets the most appreciative comments from the ongoing tilt’s sometimes surly judges.

Expectedly, Lambert’s popularity had made him a moving target for negative talk and “shocking” rumors that allude to his “gender-bending” proclivities. But in the end, his singing talent does most of the talking, where he does best.

Watch Floyd Mayweather Vs Manuel Marquez Live Streaming

After Manny Pacquiao demolished Ricky Hatton in the last part of the 2nd rounds. Another great fight to watch is about to take place on July 18 2009.

This time its the comeback fight of the former pound-for-pound king Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather Jr, against Juan Manuel Marquez, who more so than any other fighter, causes a lot of problems for Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather is determined to gain his pound-for-pound throne back. While Marquez win over Mayweather would open the door for a November trilogy showdown with Pacquiao and therefore gave him the chance to prove to the boxing fans that he's not just 2nd best.

Both fighters are determine to win and are focused to be on the top and hungry to fight Pacquaio. But for them to do that, they need to prove first who's number two to face the number one.

There are yet to be any predictions but the boxing world is charged with anticipation for the result of this fight. Who's going to win? I care less. I am more excited to the subsequent fight between the winner of this match (and soon to be loser :)) vs Pacman.

At the age of 24, James is the youngest player to win the award since Moses Malone (24 years, 16 days) in 1978-79. Wes Unseld was 23 when he won it in 1968-69.

James received 109 of a possible 121 first-place votes to lead the votes. He totaled 1,172 points followed by Bryant who finished with just 698 points. Miami guard Dwyane Wade was third with 680 points, Orlando center Dwight Howard (328) was fourth followed by New Orleans guard Chris Paul (192).

An unstoppable offensive force who became an elite defender this season, James claimed the league MVP, receiving the award in the gym where he first became a star.

Pacquiao vs Hatton Fight Result toTKO

Manny Pacquiao, the pound for pound number one fighter is now a 6 time world champion after defeating Ricky Hatton by TKO in the 2nd round fight scheduled for 12 rounds.

Pacquiao cemented his claim to being the best pound-for-pound boxer Saturday night with a spectacular performance that results to Hatton being sprawled out on the canvas after a devastating left hand to the head late in the second round.

Coming off an overwhelming win over Oscar De La Hoya, Pacman was even better against Hatton, knocking him down two times in the first round before finally stopping him with a vicious left hand that dropped Hatton for good in the 140-pound title bout.

Referee Kenny Bayless took one look at Hatton and declared the fight over at 2:59 of the round.

"I didn't have to count," Bayless said.

Pacquiao needed less than half a round to figure out the onrushing Hatton, hitting him with a flurry of punches midway through the first round before putting him down for the first time with a right hook to the head. Hatton got up at the count of eight but Pacquiao landed another flurry and dropped him again just before the end of the round.

Hatton attempted to carry the fight to Pacquiao in the second round but was mostly ineffective as Pacquiao sized him up for a big punch. It finally came at the end of the round when he landed a left cross that flattened the English fighter.

"I'm surprised the fight was so easy," Pacquiao said. "He was wide open for the right hook. I knew he would be looking for my left."

Pacquiao was a 2-1 favorite, but few thought Hatton would go easily. His only loss came when he was stopped in the 10th round by Floyd Mayweather Jr., and he built a career and a reputation as a tough and aggressive fighter who wore his opponents down.

But he stood no chance against Pacquiao, whose punches came straight down the middle and landed with increasing frequency as the fight went on.

"I was just doing my job," said Pacquiao, who is a national hero in the Philippines and is fast becoming a hero among boxing fans. "I always try to do my best in the ring."

Pacquiao's best on this night quickly quieted a boisterous crowd of 16,262 at the MGM Grand arena, many of them who came over from England to sing and chant Hatton's praises. They didn't even get a chance to warm up, though, before Hatton was on the canvas for the first time of the night.

"The result of fight was no surprise to me," Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said. "We know he always pumps his hands before he throws a punch. He's a sucker for the right hook."

Hatton finally rose from the canvas after several minutes as doctors tended to him and Pacquiao's corner celebrated. He walked from the ring with a wry grin on his face, while his fans serenaded him with one last verse of "Winter Wonderland."

"That's boxing," said Floyd Mayweather Sr., Hatton's trainer.

On the same day Mayweather announced his return to the ring with a July 18 fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao stole the undefeated former champion's thunder with a performance that was so lopsided it looked like a sparring session. The southpaw easily got away from Hatton's wild advances and just as easily hit him with punches that shouldn't come from a fighter who was fighting above 130 pounds for only the third time.

Pacquiao weighed 138 pounds for the fight to 140 for Hatton, and was fighting a bigger man for the second time in a row. But nothing seems to bother the boxer who is so popular at home that there is talk of him running for president some day.

Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 knockouts) earned $12 million for the fight, while Hatton (45-2) was paid $8 million.

On the undercard, Mexico's Humberto Soto knocked Benoit Gaudet of Canada down early in the ninth round and then stopped him with a flurry of punches to retain his 130-pound super featherweight title. It was the second defense of the title for Soto, who improved to 48-7-2 with 31 knockouts, while Gaudet fell to 20-2.
