Pacquiao vs Clottey: Pacquiao's Obvious Win?

Manny Pacquiao obvious chance of winning is affecting the anticipation of boxing fans to Watch Pacquiao vs Clottey Live Stream Online. But who can blame them?

What are the actual chances of
Joshua Clottey winning? I don't know but I think the probability is high that he will lose. But that doesn't mean that he should give up already. There is always the chance that he could prevail. All he need one shot. One shot that can make all the difference between dominating or submitting to Pacquiao. If he does it right, then we might see one of the most incredible upsets in the history of world boxing. And it will be a stunner for Pacquiao who, in the last five years, have not yet tasted defeat.

But that doesn't mean
Manny Pacquiao will be the weaker guy since he has trained equally hard for this fight. He is the seasoned fighter here, who had faced tougher foes before and prevailed. He had been known to go the distance, and if Clottey isn't careful, he might just end up being at the receiving end of Pacquiao's relentless barrage of punches. Pacquiao also has speed on his side, capable of altering his movement and stance so fast that his opponents are left guessing what's next.

A lot of people said that only a miracle can give Clottey that win. But mind you, miracles can happen, so don't forget to Watch Pacquiao vs Clottey Live Streaming because for sure you will see a very good fight so. Frankly, even though the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight didn't push through, this match is a very satisfying alternative. This even have the potential to be the best fight for the start of this year.

We all know that Pacquiao is a southpaw with a systematic punching style that can leave his opponents struggling to keep up. He can enter and exit flawlessly, as if he's just dancing on the stage. And it's a dance that can certainly kill. He's also one those fighters who can go the distance and still perform well.

Pacquiao vs Clottey Live Online: A Powerhouse Fight!

Clottey, on the other hand, is an aggressive hitter who had is known to never back down. He can beat an opponent down in just a few rounds with his heavy blows. He is also notorious as a dirty player, the type who gets very close to his target and hits in places he's not supposed to. Although, as an orthodox, he may be hard put with Pacquiao's stance, but his fighting style may leave the boxing icon clueless as to his next move.

He's also the kind who can certainly go the distance, but he's the type who loses his form as the match continues. If Pacquiao can survive his initial barrage in the early rounds, he may end up in a difficult position.

That's why technique may very well be the crucial factor in deciding the winner of this match. Who knows, a boxing upset may very well happen in the most unpredictable way.

March 13 2010 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium "The Event". The fight between Manny Pacquiao and welterweight contender Joshua Clottey, this is for the WBO welterweight championship of the world.

After the should have been super fight of the two best fighters of boxing today Pacquiao and Mayweather did not materialize, Pacquiao's camp look for a new opponent. A worthy opponent that could match the speed and power of the pound-for-pound king. They give in Joshua Clottey, a former welterweight champ that could have won against Miguel Cotto.

Joshua Clottey with a record of 30 wins and only 3 defeats with 20 knockout, stands out among the top contenders for the welterweight belt. He beat Cotto to the punch only he was down on the 2nd round that cost him a split decision loss to Cotto.

"Joshua Clottey is not some one whom you would f**k around with" according to one of Mayweather Jr interview.

But Pacquiao knockout Cotto and we could see the same result with the Clottey fight. Team Pacman has already gives a hint on what will happen to Clottey.

"He’s got a good chin and so forth but nobody has tested his body as much as we will," according to Roach. "People with good chins don’t always take it into the body."

Will Pacquiao retains the crown or Clottey will give him his biggest upset.

Well, first, both are great fighters. That means that each of them has a huge fan base. Not to mention, both are highly regarded in their respective countries. No other fighter have had this accomplishment before. Watch Pacquiao vs Cotto Live Stream Free Online

A deal has been completed for one of boxing’s biggest fight’s of the year between pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and welterweight titleholder Miguel Cotto. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 14, 2009 live on HBO Pay-Per-View or watch Pacquiao vs Cotto Free Live Stream in online streaming site. The fight was announced by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum who is also the promoter of both boxers.

The betting odds for the Pacquiao vs Cotto Live fight have yet to be disclosed. It’s however expected that the pride of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) will receive the lions share of the money on offer. With both boxers having the same promoter, money was never really going to be a major issue. The biggest sticking point seems to be the contract weight that the fight should be contested at.

Pacquiao vs Cotto Live Fight at 145 catch weight.

Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs), a 147 pounds titleholder, has agreed to fight at a weight below the welterweight limit. Pacman, the 140-pound junior welterweight champion, wanted the contest to be fought at 143 pounds, but Cotto refused and they have compromised on a 145-pound maximum weight. Cotto has not fought at this weight for over 3 years and has struggle with his weight in his last 4 contests.

Pacquiao, 30, a hero in the Philippines, had an incredible knockout win over Britain’s Ricky Hatton in May 2009 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas to win the junior welterweight title. The victory was Pacquiao’s record-tying sixth weight division as a world champion. Most boxing experts agreed that Pacquiao deserves the tag as the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet.

Hailing from Puerto Rico, 28 year old Cotto, is back in the ring after his bloody & bruising split decision victory in defending his title against Joshua Clottey in June at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Hard hitting Cotto has stopped 27 of his 35 opponents and should go into the ring not fearing Pacquiao’s punches after facing and defeating big hitter’s, Zab Judah and Sugar Shane Mosley.

Watch Pacquiao vs Cotto Live Stream fight now because even the Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is predicting an all action brawl and a explosive fight (unlike the mayweather vs marquez fight). Styles makes the fight and this one could be full of blood, action and excitement we can only expect from two hall of fame boxers.

Watch Floyd Mayweather Vs Manuel Marquez Live Streaming

After Manny Pacquiao demolished Ricky Hatton in the last part of the 2nd rounds. Another great fight to watch is about to take place on July 18 2009.

This time its the comeback fight of the former pound-for-pound king Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather Jr, against Juan Manuel Marquez, who more so than any other fighter, causes a lot of problems for Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather is determined to gain his pound-for-pound throne back. While Marquez win over Mayweather would open the door for a November trilogy showdown with Pacquiao and therefore gave him the chance to prove to the boxing fans that he's not just 2nd best.

Both fighters are determine to win and are focused to be on the top and hungry to fight Pacquaio. But for them to do that, they need to prove first who's number two to face the number one.

There are yet to be any predictions but the boxing world is charged with anticipation for the result of this fight. Who's going to win? I care less. I am more excited to the subsequent fight between the winner of this match (and soon to be loser :)) vs Pacman.

Pacquiao vs Hatton Fight Result toTKO

Manny Pacquiao, the pound for pound number one fighter is now a 6 time world champion after defeating Ricky Hatton by TKO in the 2nd round fight scheduled for 12 rounds.

Pacquiao cemented his claim to being the best pound-for-pound boxer Saturday night with a spectacular performance that results to Hatton being sprawled out on the canvas after a devastating left hand to the head late in the second round.

Coming off an overwhelming win over Oscar De La Hoya, Pacman was even better against Hatton, knocking him down two times in the first round before finally stopping him with a vicious left hand that dropped Hatton for good in the 140-pound title bout.

Referee Kenny Bayless took one look at Hatton and declared the fight over at 2:59 of the round.

"I didn't have to count," Bayless said.

Pacquiao needed less than half a round to figure out the onrushing Hatton, hitting him with a flurry of punches midway through the first round before putting him down for the first time with a right hook to the head. Hatton got up at the count of eight but Pacquiao landed another flurry and dropped him again just before the end of the round.

Hatton attempted to carry the fight to Pacquiao in the second round but was mostly ineffective as Pacquiao sized him up for a big punch. It finally came at the end of the round when he landed a left cross that flattened the English fighter.

"I'm surprised the fight was so easy," Pacquiao said. "He was wide open for the right hook. I knew he would be looking for my left."

Pacquiao was a 2-1 favorite, but few thought Hatton would go easily. His only loss came when he was stopped in the 10th round by Floyd Mayweather Jr., and he built a career and a reputation as a tough and aggressive fighter who wore his opponents down.

But he stood no chance against Pacquiao, whose punches came straight down the middle and landed with increasing frequency as the fight went on.

"I was just doing my job," said Pacquiao, who is a national hero in the Philippines and is fast becoming a hero among boxing fans. "I always try to do my best in the ring."

Pacquiao's best on this night quickly quieted a boisterous crowd of 16,262 at the MGM Grand arena, many of them who came over from England to sing and chant Hatton's praises. They didn't even get a chance to warm up, though, before Hatton was on the canvas for the first time of the night.

"The result of fight was no surprise to me," Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said. "We know he always pumps his hands before he throws a punch. He's a sucker for the right hook."

Hatton finally rose from the canvas after several minutes as doctors tended to him and Pacquiao's corner celebrated. He walked from the ring with a wry grin on his face, while his fans serenaded him with one last verse of "Winter Wonderland."

"That's boxing," said Floyd Mayweather Sr., Hatton's trainer.

On the same day Mayweather announced his return to the ring with a July 18 fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao stole the undefeated former champion's thunder with a performance that was so lopsided it looked like a sparring session. The southpaw easily got away from Hatton's wild advances and just as easily hit him with punches that shouldn't come from a fighter who was fighting above 130 pounds for only the third time.

Pacquiao weighed 138 pounds for the fight to 140 for Hatton, and was fighting a bigger man for the second time in a row. But nothing seems to bother the boxer who is so popular at home that there is talk of him running for president some day.

Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 knockouts) earned $12 million for the fight, while Hatton (45-2) was paid $8 million.

On the undercard, Mexico's Humberto Soto knocked Benoit Gaudet of Canada down early in the ninth round and then stopped him with a flurry of punches to retain his 130-pound super featherweight title. It was the second defense of the title for Soto, who improved to 48-7-2 with 31 knockouts, while Gaudet fell to 20-2.

Manny Pacquiao in Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas

Pandemonium broke out as boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao was formally welcomed like a rock star at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas Tuesday.

Chants of “Manny! Manny! Manny!" broke out the moment Pacquiao stepped out of the customized passenger bus in front of the hotel lobby for the arrival rite that’s part of promotion for his showdown with Ricky Hatton.

Wearing a printed polo shirt topped by a black suite to complement his black pedora hat, Pacquiao smiled for the cameras and waved to the more than 200 people that gathered outside and inside the hotel lobby.

Just before him walked his mother Aling Dionisia, who experienced for the first time the kind of reception her son has been receiving here as a boxing star.

Behind the star of the show followed his long-line of entourage that included trainer Freddie Roach, assistant Michael Moorer, close adviser Michael Konz, and other members of Team Pacquiao.

The ceremony was supposed to have Pacquiao granting interviews and answering a few questions, but Top Rank Promotions decided to do away with it after the mayhem created by his arrival.

“This is insane," said Top Rank chairman Bob Arum, smiling but obviously stunned by the huge number of crowd that turned up for the event. “If we had stopped to do interviews, we could have been killed."

“Luckily we got him (Pacquiao) to the suite, because he could have been trampled if we stay down here."

After resting at his room on the 60th floor, Pacquiao sweat it out at the IBA gym with Roach at around 1 p.m. Early in the day, he jogged at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas campus and did some stitch muscle workout prepared by conditioning coach Alex Ariza to enhance his speed without losing power.

In contrast, 24 Oras reported that a lot less turned up for the formal welcome for Hatton over at the MGM Grand Hotel. Without Pacquiao's swarm of eager fans, the “Hitman" was able to accommodate the international media for a chat. –GMANews.TV

Pacquiao - Hatton Predictions: KO in 3rd Round- Roach

Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer stated that Ricky Hatton is the perfect opponent for Pacman.

Roach who has been studying Hatton for month in preparation for the megafight known as “The Battle of East and West” point out that Hatton's chin is his weak spot.

“Hatton is not fundamentally sound as a fighter – he keeps his chin up,” Roach told BraggingRightsCorner.com.

“You’re going to hear a lot of glass breaking when Manny starts playing his chin music concerto on Hatton. You’re going to see who has the chops to play this masterpiece on May 2.”

Roach also stated on one of his interview that Hatton was so easy to hit because his chin’s up in the air and he swings from the outside. From his previous prediction of 9th round he
stated that Hatton will be stopped in the 3rd. The result, Manny Pacquiao will win the upcoming Ricky Hatton Vs Manny Pacquiao fight.

“If Manny just punches down the middle, he’s going to kill Hatton.”

"I've still got five weeks to go and at a push I could be ready in a couple of weeks, so I have to be careful not to overdo it now. But I've got a fair few fights under my belt now and I've got a bit of experience so I can't see that happening, and I'm in perfect shape for training camp," according to Hatton.

According to one of the sources, Mayweather has been on the gym sparring and getting to be in shape.

As a boxing fan, im also interested to see Mayweather and Paquiao battles each other for supremacy.

Mayweather has never been defeated his his boxing quest and Pacquiao could be the only one who could put an end to it.

Pacquiao Vs Mayweather

After Pacquiao annihilated Golden boy in there fight, pacman is set to face the british slugger Ricky Hatton to what boxing fans expected to be spectacular a fight.

If Pacman win this fight, the most credible fighter he can only be match with will be Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather has retired, but this fight might be able to bring this man out of retirement for possibly one last go at it.

It has proven over the years that most great athlete cannot resist the call of the sport. Even Michael Jordan (Basketball) returned and won another championship for his team.

Pacman has already stated before that he is willing to face mayweather, the only thing that we are waiting on is the nod from the former pound-per-pound king.

A matchup of this magnitude is what the boxing world needs right now. There is no way that a match of this caliber will be ignored by the general public. In fact this could be one of the greatest boxing event of all time.

MANNY “PACMAN” PACQUIAO: 1 Pound-For-Pound Fighter for 2009

MANNY “PACMAN” PACQUIAO is still boxing's No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter for 2009. The spectacular boxer was favoured over Juan Manuel Marquez who is said to be his close rival for this prestigious title.

Dan Rafael, a boxing residence of ESPN.com recognized Pacquiao’s ability to not only showcase a good fights but stirs up the attention and the excitement of the fans every time he is to face an opponent.

“When the Pacman fights, the boxing world watches. He's one of the sport's biggest stars, he fights top-notch opponents, and every time he gets into the ring it's entertaining as hell,” Rafael wrote.

I always believe that Manny deserved this title because of his clean fighting style, and his audacity in fighting high caliber opponents from around the world.
Here are the top complete pound for pound boxing rankings from Sports Illustrated.

1. Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2)

Pacquiao has been dazzling at whatever weight class he chooses to fight. On May 2, the Pac-Man gets an opportunity to rule the junior welterweight division when he takes on 140-pound kingRicky Hatton. A win over Hatton all but guarantees a shot at former pound-for-pound champ Floyd Mayweather Jr., who many feel is lurking in anticipation of a Pacquiao victory.

2. Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4-1)

Marquez's power seems to increase with his weight. He ended his first two fights at lightweight with spectacular knockouts and has clearly established himself as the world's dominant 135-pounder. A fight with another lightweight contender likeNate Campbell could be a prelude to an eventual showdown with Hatton at 140.

3. Shane Mosley (46-5)

The 37-year-old Mosley looked 10 years younger in dismantling Antonio Margarito in January. Forget titleholder Andre Berto -- the world wants to see a rematch between Mosley and Miguel Cotto to determine the true welterweight champion.

4. Bernard Hopkins (48-5-1)

Who will the ageless Hopkins fight next? Chad Dawson is a logical opponent if Hopkins stays at light heavyweight, but B-Hop has expressed an interest in fighting cruiserweight champTomasz Adamek. Is fighting at 200 pounds biting off more than he can chew?

5. Chad Dawson (27-0)

Dawson's May 9 rematch with Antonio Tarver is a waste of everyone's time; Tarver was outclassed the first time, he will be outclassed again this time. The real fight for Dawson, if he can somehow raise his profile enough to make himself appealing enough, is against Hopkins.

6. Israel Vazquez (43-4)

Vazquez, who has been sidelined for more than a year following retina surgery, says he wants to return to the ring this summer, and he may do it at featherweight. That's only a good idea ifRafael Marquez moves up to 126 pounds with him. Vazquez will need a tune-up fight before any major showdown, but when he is ready, it should be a fourth fight with Marquez.

7. Kelly Pavlik (35-1)

Memo to HBO and Showtime: one of you needs to step up and make Pavlik-Arthur Abraham happen. If that means enticing Abraham to come Stateside this summer for a look-at-me fight with a fringe contender, so be it. Make it happen. The world needs to see a fight between the two most explosive middleweights in boxing.

8. Miguel Cotto (33-1)

Cotto rebounded nicely from last summer's savage beating at the hands of Antonio Margarito with an equally savage victory over Michael Jennings. Word is that Cotto will fight granite-chinned fellow titleholder Joshua Clottey in June in New York. That's a good fight for Cotto, who will probably have to box for 12 rounds to defeat Clottey.

9. Paul Williams (36-1)

I keep hearing how Williams isn't exciting enough or a big enough name to warrant a fight with any of the welterweight, junior welterweight or middleweight contenders. Huh? Has anyone actually been watching Williams the past two years? He has ricocheted in and out of three different weight classes and has been winning in staggeringly impressive fashion. If he can be equally as impressive againstWinky Wright next month, Williams will have earned a shot at either Mosley or Pavlik.

10. Vic Darchinyan (32-1-1)

First, Darchinyan beats (and shuts up) Cristian Mijares. Then he goes out and dismantles Jorge Arce after telling everyone he was going to do just that. My kind of fighter. Rumor has it that Darchinyan is looking to move up to bantamweight to fight eitherAnselmo Moreno or Joseph Agbeko.
