2009 NBA Finals Game 2

The Lakers want a 2-0 lead against the Magic. While the Magic wants to even up the series.

The Lakers shows a little edge on the first half with ending it with a five points lead 40-35.

But unlike the blowout Game 1, its a fighting Magic team battling against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 3-point bombs of Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu are hitting there targets on the third quarter. Dwight Howard is dominating the boards and doing a good job blocking some shots. Magic takes the lead on the after 3 quarters 63-65.


But the Lakers are unmoved. They were able to neutralize the sudden surge of the Magic. They have taken the lead back 71-68 at the start of the 4th quarter until Magic's 3 pointers hit their targets again. Both teams are 88 a piece with 9 seconds left on the ball game.

With only 1 second left of the game, Hedo Turkoglu heroically blocked Kobe Bryant's layup and Courtney Lee missed the winning layup to extend the game overtime.

Unfortunately for the Magic, Lakers still has more fire power left up there sleeve. Its all a team effort for the Lakers to dominate the Magic 101-96 in an overtime game.

Its a 2-0 Lakers lead in the series. Game 3 is on Orlando's home court where they will try to win there first game against the Lakers.
