Pacquiao vs Hatton Fight Results to a Draw

Boxing superstars Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao and Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton initial encounter indeed finished in a draw. Though not in the boxing arena, but in dart; a board game, which is actually a favorite pastime of the Britons.

Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton came face to face in Londo. Hatton, a British professional boxer and the current Junior Welterweight Champion was in casual clothes. Pacquiao, a professional Filipino boxer and the #1 pound-for-pound boxer, on the other hand, looks more trim and dashing in his dark suit.

Although Hatton won the first regular 501 dart game, Pacquiao on the other hand, bounced back on the second game on a Manchester ball, an another form of dart game that was especially made popular by the Britons.

The friendly game was held in the historical New Inn Club, which was once owned by the Hatton family and is one of the oldest English pubs in Manchester. The dart game happened after the press conference at the Imperial War Museum in London. On the other hand, their May 2 superfight was dubbed as the “The Battle of East vs West” which was officially launched at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, where the promo tour was also held.

In the private party, only a few mediamen were invited just two hours after the public appearance by both fighters at the Trafford Centre.

Pacquiao flew 16 hours from Manila to Hong Kong and from Hong Kong to London last Friday. He was together with Bob Arum of Top Rank, his trainer Freddie Roach, his lawyer Franklin Gacal as well as a few friends. Together, they traveled by train from London. Pacquiao is staying at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane so they actually needed two hours so as to get to Manchester. Expectantly, a large crowd of Filipino fans appeared to show their support to the #1 pound-for-pound boxer. To date, Pacquiao was indeed recognized everywhere as said by Davies, who was a sports journalist since 1993.

According to promoters, the tickets for the upcoming fight, The East meets West - Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton on MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2 are already sold out, and the response that the two incredible fighters got at the Trafford Centre in Manchester was an extremely clear indication.
