The Miami Heat grabbed the 5th spot of the NBA playoffs to face the Atlanta Hawks (4th spot).
The victory was lead by Dyane Wade who exploded for 55 points to set his career high in scoring, only a point away to tie with Heat's all-time franchise record of 56 points set by Glen Rice.
"I came in early and I was very focused," Wade said. "My teammates thought something was wrong with me because I wasn't talking."
Wade set the career high still 1:06 to go in the game. The fans even some coaching staff wanted Wade to get one more chance at the record, but Heat coach Erik Spoelstra chose not to take the risk.
"He's broken every other record," Spoelstra said. "Let's leave one of them to Glen Rice."
