Derrick Rose: NBA Rookie of the Year

As the 2008 draft 1st pick, a big time game is expected from Chicago's native Derrick Rose.

Now everything is history, the Bulls made it to the playoffs and they just win their first game with Rose's impressive play against Boston (2008 champion).

It is not a surprise for Derrick Rose to win this year Rookie of The Year award. Leading all rookies with 6.3 assist and second in scoring, and leading the team to the playoffs he deserve to bag home the award.

Rose finished with 574 points while runner-up O.J. Mayo received five first-place votes and 127 points.

With this award, Rose became the third Bulls player to win the award , joining Michael Jordan and Elton Brand.
